Tax free childcare opportunities

News, Tax,

Tax-Free Childcare is a government scheme available to working parents, including the self-employed, with children aged 0 to 11.

Eligible parents can get up to £2,000 per child per year towards qualifying childcare. For parents with two children, the benefit could increase to a £4,000 saving per year.

Parents can use the benefit on a range of registered childcare, including:

  • childminders
  • nurseries
  • breakfast clubs, after school clubs and holiday clubs.

For disabled children, the scheme is available up to the age of 16 with a maximum government contribution of £4,000 per child per year.

There are a range of different support levels depending on the age of your child, or your personal circumstances.

The website below lists all of the various options. It also has a facility that enables you to enter some personal details before being prompted with the most suitable corresponding offers. You can also link through to the calculators to find out how much you could get towards approved childcare.
