How to securely send us documents

Apps, Data Protection, Personal Tax,

We’re very aware of data security and the risks involved with sending personal data, or anything else, through email.

With that in mind, if we need to send documents to clients or contacts, we use WeTransfer Plus to do so. The files are encrypted, and the link is password protected as an extra layer of security. We agree the password we’ll use in advance, or will send it to your mobile number to ensure it isn’t going into a compromised in-box.

But what about when you want to send things to us?

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to send us your records or other files, but are conscious that you may not have a similar facility in place.

What we have done therefore, is set up a reciprocal account with WeTransfer that means that YOU can send US files up to a HUGE 200MB to us, without any cost to you.

It would need to be a fairly hefty set of tax return information to use even a fraction of that!

How do you use the system?

Good news! It’s nice and easy:

  1. Click on the blue button below.
  2. Add your files, a brief message and your name.
  3. Click ‘Transfer’ and the files will automatically be sent to ‘liz@baranovassociates.co.uk’. (If you’re sending files to Chris – don’t worry – we’ve got this sorted internally!)

PLEASE NOTE: These files will be encrypted but will not be password protected. The link to the files will however ONLY go to this email address. By using this system you accept that there is a small risk involved.

If you follow the link from a mobile device, you may be asked to download the WeTransfer App; if you’d prefer not to do so, we’d recommend you use a desktop or laptop.

As ever, if you have any problems please get in touch.
