Are you safe from Cyber Attacks?

Cyber-Security, News,

42% of small businesses have experienced cyber attacks in the last year, with the average cost to a small business being £900. Government research has shown that more than half of these cyber attacks were spotted by staff rather than software, and are recommending staff training to identify and stop attacks.

The report by Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) goes on to say that only 35% of small businesses have staff whose role includes internet security or governance. A free Small Business Guide is available to make training easier to reduce the risks of future cyber attacks.

The recommendation is for all businesses to identify someone to implement good cyber security processes. They don’t have to be a technical expert, as information is available for them to use.
