2019 isn’t done yet!

Planning, Productivity, Videos,

Halloween is over, and the shops are full of Christmas goodies already. It’s tempting to think that 2019 is over, but that isn’t the case! Watch this to find out how to make the most of the end of the year.

Hi and welcome to another episode of BaranovTV, designed to demystify the world of accounts and tax, and to help your business grow.

In last week’s episode, I talked about Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and the sales extravaganza that seems to have worked its way over to the UK from America that started around Thanksgiving. Now, obviously, we tend to get to Halloween and then Thanksgiving and then, all of a sudden, everything you see is Christmas and it starts to feel like we’re almost at the end of the year.

But this is being recorded to come out to you on the 15th November, at which point there are still five full weeks before Christmas.

I know that there’s been a lot about Brexit and now the election.

I know that it’s been a hard year in terms of trying to pin people down and get them to make a decision.

But in those five weeks, you can still do a huge amount.

You only need to think about how much you can achieve in the week before you’re due to go on holiday!

So think about what you haven’t yet done in 2019 that you really wanted to get done. Think about what you would really want to get done before you sit down to eat your turkey on Christmas Day, or whatever it may be that you have. And then you’ve got five weeks to put those things into practice, to implement them, tick them off, whatever it may be.

Think about what those things are, break them down into steps and start to book the time into your diary between now and Christmas.

You may find that it’s a quiet time for you. For us, it isn’t, but for a lot of people it does tend to quieten down towards Christmas and that’s a tremendous opportunity to start to book some of this stuff in.

If you think about them now, you’ve got a good opportunity to get those sorted and I bet that you’d actually be feeling really good when you sat down at Christmas, to know that you’re going to hit 2020 with all of those things ticked off; and if not all of them, well, significantly more than you would’ve done if you hadn’t gone through that process.

So that’s my very short message this week, is think about what you can still achieve in the five weeks that are left of 2019.

I’d love to know what it is that you want to get done and if it would help to get some accountability by actually confiding then you know you can. I’d love to hear from you.

I’ll leave you with that thought and I’ll see you very soon.
