Xero pricing increases 2026
Xero has advised that it’s making changes to the price of its subscriptions in the UK from 1st September 2026. They say this reflects their ongoing commitment to investing in a platform that helps users run their businesses effectively.
From 1 September 2026, the following changes will apply:
- Ignite plan increases to £18+VAT per month, increasing by £2+VAT per month
- Grow plan increases to £39+VAT per month, increasing by £2+VAT per month
- Comprehensive plan increases to £55+VAT per month, increasing by £5+VAT per month
- Ultimate plan increases to £70+VAT per month, increasing by £5+VAT per month
What else has changed this year?
Xero’s pricing announcement included details of the ‘wave’ of new capabilities they’ve changed over the year, designed to ‘make the product faster, more insightful, and smarter behind the scenes’. You can see more detail of those changes here.

When will your invoices change?
- If you hold your own subscription and pay Xero direct, you will see the prices increase from 1st September.
- If we hold your subscription and recharge the cost to you, we will see the increase on our invoice from Xero that we’ll receive at the end of September. We recharge that cost to clients one month in arrears, so will amend our invoices from 1st October. As always, we’ll only recharge you the costs that we pay Xero; there is no margin in our pricing.
What about existing discounted rates?
If you currently have a Xero pricing promo code that reduces your subscription for a period of time, it will still apply to the new pricing until it expires.
As a reminder, any subscription on specially discounted pricing will no longer be eligible for that discount if it’s moved to a different plan or customer.
Our view…
Whilst no-one likes to see prices increasing, we still believe Xero pricing is cost-effective for small businesses, and offers the best combination of evolving functionality, innovation and support on the market.
As we’ve mentioned elsewhere, if you’d like to review your choice of software given the announced increases, please get in touch. It may be an option to move you to a lower level subscription and reduce your costs, or it may be that there is an alternative platform that will suit you.
We’re very happy to talk you through to ensure you’re still using the best software for your business.
