Xero pricing increases 2025
Xero has announced that they’re increasing the prices for some business subscription plans. From 1 September 2025, the following prices will apply:
- Xero Grow plan increases to £37+VAT per month, increasing by £4+VAT per month
- Xero Comprehensive plan increases to £50+VAT per month, increasing by £3+VAT per month
- Xero Ultimate plan increases to £65+VAT per month, increasing by £6+VAT per month
Pricing for Simple and Ignite packages aren’t increasing:
- Xero Simple plan – unchanged at £7+VAT per month
- Xero Ignite plan – unchanged at £16+VAT per month
Over the past year, Xero says it has continued to invest heavily in its platform, making it more reliable, secure, and useful. These improvements are, they say, designed to help you run your business more efficiently. Xero claims their ongoing investments allow them to continue improving the experience for subscribers, and to support the evolving needs of small businesses.
When will your invoices change?
- If you hold your own subscription and pay Xero direct, you will see the prices increase from 1st September.
- If we hold your subscription and recharge the cost to you, we will see the increase on our invoice from Xero that we’ll receive at the end of September. We recharge that cost to clients one month in arrears, so will amend our invoices from 1st October. As always, we’ll only recharge you the costs that we pay Xero; there is no margin in our pricing.
You can find more about some of the recent changes to Xero here.
More details around the price changes can be found here.
What about existing discounted rates?
If you currently have a Xero pricing promo code that reduces your subscription for a period of time, it will still apply to the new pricing until it expires.
As a reminder, any subscription on specially discounted pricing will no longer be eligible for that discount if it’s moved to a different plan or customer.
Our view…
Whilst no-one likes to see prices increasing, we still believe Xero pricing is cost-effective for small businesses, and offers the best combination of evolving functionality, innovation and support on the market.
As we’ve mentioned elsewhere, if you’d like to review your choice of software given the announced increases, please get in touch. It may be an option to move you to a lower level subscription and reduce your costs, or it may be that there is an alternative platform that will suit you.
We’re very happy to talk you through to ensure you’re still using the best software for your business.
