Spring forecast 2025 date announced
The Office for Budget Responsibility is required to produce two forecasts each financial year by the Budget Responsibility and National Audit Act 2011. Rachel Reeves, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, has therefore confirmed 26th March 2025 as the date for the Spring Forecast.
The Chancellor will accompany the forecast with a speech to Parliament. However, since she has committed to maximising the stability for businesses that having only one major fiscal event a year brings, it’s hoped that her speech won’t include any major tax changes.
With businesses still working through the implications of the Autumn Budget, we’re hopeful that this will be the case!
We will of course keep you updated on any developments related to the Spring Forecast as it draws closer, and confirm the outcome afterwards.
Remember, there is little we can do to influence the announcements and changes that come from Westminster, but we can influence our responses and behaviours every day, and how we portray ourselves and our businesses. Our teams look to us as business owners to be positive, and , though 2025 may be more challenging than we’d like, there are always businesses that thrive in spite of difficult economic conditions, and focus, clear goals and prompt action can make the difference!
If you’d like to chat through your plans for 2025, that have probably had to be amended since the Autumn Statement, please get in touch. We’re here to look after your accounts and tax, but also to help with business growth, development or just to act as a sounding board, so please do get in touch if you’d like to get an external viewpoint on any challenge you may have!
