New Furlough deadlines apply…
When the furlough scheme was extended until the 31st March 2021, we warned of the new deadlines that apply to claims.
Claims must be made within 14 calendar days of the end of the period they relate to. If this falls on a weekend, the deadline becomes the next weekday.
The deadline for submitting any November claims is 14th December, so if you haven’t yet submitted your claim – get it in quickly!
Thereafter, the 14th will be your monthly deadline.
As the festive period approaches, payroll dates may be different this month to usual. Remember, you can claim before, during or after you process your payroll as long as your claim is submitted by the deadline.
As ever, please make sure that you have accurate records that support your claims. This will avoid any issues when HMRC ask questions about them later. Given the level of expenditure and abuse of the various support schemes, this is extremely likely to happen!
